Style is a medium for self creation: to project an idea, deepen an experience, enrich an environment. To lead a visually cohesive life is the vision, to stay true and sensitive to the beautiful subtleties that exist everywhere.
Blue jeans have always been that blank minimalist canvas for me to experiment. On instinct, a moment of floral embroidery on these 7 For All Mankind pieces led me to create an immersive environment dancing with color and organic forms. Coming together on our mutual love for full sensory creation, I collaborated with the exceptional talent Vicky Steckel/BOSCAR Project to paint my persona, weaving a narrative inspired by 7FAM’s embroidered denim blossoms. Captured immediately by the embroidered florals in relation to the work of great American modern artist Georgia O’Keeffe; the Brooklyn Museum’s current exhibition, Georgia O’Keeffe: Living Modern further illuminates the artist as a style icon who embodies the idea of optical oneness in art and life. Here’s an eye into my ART OF DENIM, MIX MASTER personal style story in collaboration with 7 For All Mankind and Who What Wear.
